David made a surprise appearance at BBC's Sports Personality of the Year awards alongside the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. David presented the Lifetime Achievement award to Lord Seb Coe as well as handing out 2nd and 1st place awards.

David was seen out with some friends in London including comedian James Corden, former cricketer Andrew Flintoff and Hollywood star Jason Statham

David end his time at LA Galaxy with a trophy

Congratulations to David for winning another MLS Cup with his final game for the club!

 

David to leave LA Galaxy

David has announced he is to leave LA Galaxy and the MLS Cup final will be his last match.
He wants one last challenge before he retires.
He says:
"I've had an incredibly special time playing for the LA Galaxy, however, I wanted to experience one last challenge before the end of my playing career.
"I don't see this as the end of my relationship with the league (MLS) as my ambition is to be part of the ownership structure in the future."
